During the night on Friday, the evening before the show, there was heavy rain.
When we arrived at the show the field it was dry, we were truly blessed with fine weather on, an answer to prayer.
The show opened to visitors at 10am, we put the gazebo up in our allotted position, we enjoyed sunshine, it remained dry all day, the stall was arranged for the visitors, earlier the visitors were slow to arrive.
The children then we had the teenagers, all wanting to try their hand at the ‘Guessing Box,’ always an attraction. This is a wonderful opportunity to share the gospel with young and the teenagers. Its a real pleasure to talk with them about the Saviour. We were given many opportunities to use this way of communicating the gospel.
One couple visited with their two children, they had the same name as people, in the bible, we drew the children’s attention to this in the Bible. Their father had a knowledge of the Bible but, at present did not attend any church, he was happy to take literature with him.
Three children came with their grandmother, they enjoyed using the guessing box, however, their grandmother was not happy for them to take any literature with them, she said that she would teach them herself, without any literature to read.
Tom talked with a Roman Catholic lady whilst her children used the ‘Guessing Box’ she told him that, she was not a regular attender at church theses days. He pointed out to her the need to get right with God. Tom gave her a copy of what the ‘Catholic Bible Teaches.’
Often many dogs and their owners are at the shows, today was no exception, we always have a water bowl with us if any dog requires a drink. This always gives us a few moments to witness to the owners.
