Another busy day!
The weather was dry but getting really cold. ( winter’s getting Nearer !) lots of people were around, many of them with dogs. Please pray about the following contacts made.
A young lad (whose parents have a stall further down) came and he seemed to know all the things in the guessing box but not all the answers.
A pastor, originally from the usa , came with his daughter. he Seemed to have a thriving church in Edinburgh and encouraged us
We also made contact with a blind man and his wife Who had returned to live in Keswick. They took some literature.
A man called john from wrexham also took a Tract
A nice lady from bowness on windermere who attended the Lakes christian fellowship in ulverston talked with us for Some time
Two young sisters from cockermouth Came initially with their grandmother who refused to take a Tract but after the girls had been on the guessing box she seemed Happier and received the Tract.
Conversation was made with sue from glasgow and another Woman nearer home called emily; indeed we had lots of conversations with People on the day, lots of tracts were given out and as i said at the Start many were with dogs of all of different breeds so The tract entitled, “ man's best friend” was appropriate And readily received by the owners.
Overall the person that has stuck in my mind and prayers was a Very clever young woman from the north east but who was studying at Glasgow university. when she came to us she was walking With two sticks having had an accident with her horse and had Difficulty walking. After some time talking about god and his love and our Need of forgiveness from our sin, i said, “if i give you a bible Would you read it?” she promised she would. Then, as she was not able to Carry a bible herself, i asked her mother who was with her if she would Take it. She refused to put it into her bag. i asked the girl again if she Still wanted a bible which she did but still her mother refused to take it for Her but she did take a tract. please pray for her as she goes Back to glasgow to resume her studies that she will have contact with some other Christians and god will meet her need as only he can change lives.
