Westmorland Show - 13 September 2012

Post date: Sep 18, 2012 11:50:5 AM

A grey but dry start and busy. The photos of one of the car parks was taken before 9.00am, however John Heron had the van parked up well before 8.00am and ready to start as soon as visitors to the show started to circulate.

With help from our brother Jim, from Kirkby Stephen we distributed in the region of 400 plus tracts before the rain started around 3.00pm.  It was a great encouragement to meet believers from Kendal and locality as well as from North Wales and Scotland.

Children used the guessing box, some with no bible knowledge but others who had obviously had some basic teaching. They all went away with a scripture portion.

John challenged an atheist and pointed out that belief that there is no God was as much an act of faith as belief in God. Two teen age lads accepted New Testaments and literature after a short chat.

A grandmother, a believer, asked for help as her younger granchild, from a broken home had decided at 7years old she didn't believe in God any more.  Gran feels there is Godless influence here and we were able to provide literature for the little girl and promised to pray that she God will change her mind

All in all a busy and productive day with very few refusals to accept literature. Seed has been sown, let's water it with our prayers.

Thanks again to John, Jim and Gordon for providing the report.
