Keswick Market - August 2022

Although heavy rain descended in Keswick during the afternoon, we have rarely given so many leaflets to people on the Market Stall.  Our poster “True or False” caused interest with some adverse comments.

‘C’ from Liverpool who stopped to chat took the leaflet ‘Health and Wholeness.

‘H’ from Middlesbrough did not believe the Bible was the true Word of God but accepted ‘Can you trust the Bible?’ ‘H’ also said she had suffered from depression.

A middle aged man came up saying “I am an atheist.”  John said “Are you sure”, he responded saying “Well maybe agnostic”.  We showed him ’10 Reasons to Believe in the Existence of God’.  I will read that he said.  Pray his visit will lead him to the Living God.

‘T’ a teenager from Newcastle, had many questions about evolution and God and the Christian faith.  His Father was a Scientist.  Although asking many questions, he was a seeking soul.  We explained that God was knocking at the door of his life.  After this long discussion, he thanked John for explaining in a way he could understand.  Pray for this thoughtful young man and that this seeking soul will remember his Creator in his youth.  He accepted a New Testament, ‘10 Reasons to Believe in God’ and ‘God’s Story.’  We encouraged him to visit Jesmond Parish Church, he was positive as he wrote the detail down on his phone.

What a blessing to be in Keswick not only showers of rain but showers of blessing.  Keep praying God will open many more hearts to His Word.
